MarilynJean was started in Vancouver, Canada as Canada's first private sale online shopping club for families by a passionate team whose focus is on Family First.
Our mission is to help today's modern family have more time together in this busy world, by allowing moms to shop for the best brands for their family from the comfort of their own home, and offering them savings of up to 70% off retail prices - saving families time and money.
MarilynJean online shopping club members (who join for FREE), are alerted to private sale events of popular & boutique brands 24 hours in advance, and each sale lasts 7 days.
Company History
MarilynJean, a Vancouver based ecommerce company started in 2011 by online marketing and retail veterans Jason Carvalho and Kelita Jean Klein, has one mission;
to provide the ultimate private shopping experience for mothers in Canada and the United States.
The company, MarilynJean, is named after the entrepreneurial mother of one of the co-founders, Kelita Jean Klein, and as such, MarilynJean strongly believes in the idea of family first.
Marilyn Jean Klein was a second generation entrepreneur, who alongside her husband, launched a decade long entrepreneurial career owning a successful hotel in Harrison Hot-Springs, British Columbia.
She held giving back to their local community high in her priorities, along with the importance of family. In the mid-1990’s, Marilyn Jean was diagnosed with cancer when Kelita Jean was only 10 years old.
She passed away shortly afterwards, but not without leaving her daughter with the inspiration of a brand on which a legacy could be built. Intelligent, classy and stylish; Marilyn Jean was always 100% focused on taking care of her family.
Marilyn Jean's legacy lives on as Kelita Jean Klein (Chief Branding Officer) and Jason Carvalho (CEO) named the company in her memory.
